The Red Series shifts color into a territory where painting does more than illustrate a theme, it embodies it. Red, in its variations of pure tones, earth, and dark blood, appears as a living matter, connected to what is essential: pulse, insistence, and the desire to endure.

From the perspective of color psychology, red tends to activate, it summons the body, accelerates perception, and disrupts distance. Here, that activation is ambivalent, because red also signifies warning, threshold, and exposure: a register of pain as an energy that refuses to be domesticated.
