Fish. Anatomy of the Inner Sea brings together a series of sculptural objects that function as vestiges of a deep memory and as a strategy of symbolic survival.

Art appears here as a tool capable of operating when the unsayable takes hold. Constructed from wood, metal, object fragments, fabric, and pigments, these fish condense an intimate register linked to memories of childhood and early youth, to fishing, family, and an affective inheritance transmitted as embodied knowledge.

The sea is not presented as landscape or setting, but as an internal state: an emotional territory where color, matter, and form organize a possible response to experience.

Within this trajectory emerges the City Fish series, which departs from an earlier thematic line associated with the book So Close to Shining (2021) to navigate toward other contexts. These fish now inhabit cities, incorporating traits of each place and culture.

They become mobile metaphors of diverse urban worlds, carriers of the colors and stories of those who live there. In every case, sculpture acts as a point of convergence between memory, emotion, and matter: a beautiful, and necessary, way of enduring.
